Day 02- The meaning behind your Tumblr name

I’m using my name in every Social Networking URL’s so I prefer to jot down the reason behind my blog’s title:

PRINCESS-in-training 

I’m a bit old-fashioned.  Growing up, I used to make up stories in which I was a princess in my own kingdom. Every little girls’ dream - one thing we all have in common.

Today’s girls, though, are influenced by  Disney princesses - from classics like Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty to newer diverse characters like Pocahontas, Jasmine, etc. They  are always portrayed as compassionate, pure soul and often full of life. They are typically blatant to those who hinders them in doing good. Also, they wear the most extravagant pretty dresses and never really care about material possessions.

In reality,  I’m far off behind in becoming one or should I say I’m markedly different . This is where the “-in-training” came into the picture.  I’m more interested in improving myself in every way. I have no intention on becoming a true princess in heart and in mind. (C’mon, that’s just lame except for the glamour and crowns. Haha!) I know it’s a tough world we’re living in and we need a lot of strength and thick skin to deal with things but it’s not an excuse to be disrespectful, egoistical and impolite in order to get everything you want. It pays to be lavishly kind. I may have tons of flawse’s along the way but,  Hey! I’m still -in-training so bear with me in every way you can.
